Extra Curricular

A key strength at The Stonehenge School is the quality of our extra-curricular programme. We ensure that all pupils are given maximum opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities. The quality of many of these activities is excellent, with professional or qualified support provided for a significant number of them.

Extra-curricular opportunities

We are excited to announce our extra-curricular opportunities for terms 1 and 2 of the academic year 2025/2026. Remember, for after school activities you will need to book your space. For safeguarding reasons, and for us to be able to plan activities, we need to know exactly who we will have in school attending each activity. Lunchtime clubs are run on a drop-in basis.

Some of our clubs are incredibly popular and over-subscribed, so if you book a space and your child does not attend, we will remove them and inform you that we have done so, so that others have the chance to attend. Equally, students cannot turn up to after school activities without being booked on in advance. We have an excellent pastoral and SEND team who are happy to support you with this process, should you need it.

Once students’ activities have been assigned, they will be added to their timetable on Class Charts.

There is an associated cost for First Tech Challenge. This is a STEM club for this year that is already established and cannot accept any new members. You will not be able to select this on the booking form.

Some clubs have limited numbers; if the requests exceed the places, we will draw names at random and ensure equity of opportunity throughout the year. There will be further opportunities next term if you are unsuccessful this term.

The Duke of Edinburgh award will be running in addition to this programme. The new cohort of Bronze and Silver participants will be able to sign up this term- more details to follow. You will not be able to select this on the booking form.
