What is the House System?

The Stonehenge School House system consistently recognises and rewards aspiration and citizenship to create a respectful community. We empower students through leadership opportunities, developing their ability to lead with confidence and initiative, allowing them to make a positive impact within the school and wider community.
House System Aims and Priorities
The aim of the House System is to provide every pupil in each House with the following:
- A sense of belonging within the school community
- Opportunities to develop social, intellectual, physical and practical skills
- A sense of achievement both inside and outside of the classroom
- Fun and excitement through competition
- Opportunities for student leadership
There are termly rewards for the winning House. The winner is determined by the number of House points earned by each student in that House for the term. Points are awarded for:
- Attendance
- Homework
- Behaviour & effort
- Library borrowing
- Smart School Council discussions
- Tutor challenges
- Staff involvement
What rewards and experiences do the House team offer?
- Non-uniform days
- Early break time
- A trip to the Christmas pantomime at Salisbury Playhouse
- A day trip to a theme park
- Sweet treats
- Toby Carvery restaurant visit
- A trip to McDonald’s for the winners of The Attendance World Cup
- Tutor time challenges
- Team building opportunities
- Inter-house competitions
- A winter and summer disco for Year 7 & Year 8
