Mr Langley and members of the school council presented Mr Assuon from the Assuon Foundation with a chewy for over £2600 this morning. The charity, who are building a library for a school in a small village in Ghana, has been our school charity for the year, inspiring our students to take part in a range of activities such as Ghana Day, book donations, and spin cycling.
Mr Assuon said ” Stonehenge school has been a fantastic in supporting the Assuon Foundation. A huge thank you to all the student and staffs of the school for their kind support.
Many of our staff and students took part in two weekend events of spin cycling, attempting to cycle the distance from here to the village. The target was to spin approximately 3200 miles, combining both spin events (Tesco and Salisbury) and they have managed to cover 1788 miles which raised £1760 so far.
Mr Assuon will be travelling to the village in Ghana at the end of this week to supervise the library and the computer training project.
