NASA Mars probe is due to lift off from California. On board the lander is a chip with 800,000 names engraved on it (in very, very small font!) – see https://www.jpl.nasa.gov/spaceimages/details.php?id=PIA20165 for details.
Back in 2015 Mr Selwood registered the school’s name to be engraved on the chip and be sent to the surface of Mars. Attached is the NASA ‘boarding card’ confirming this.
So in a few months we will have our name on another planet!
